Overcoming The Book Publishing Setbacks

This Blog is Dedicated to Future Authors:

Very often I meet the most talented and intriguing unpublished authors. They have beautiful writings stored in notebooks, tablets, laptops, phones, etc. They share their dreams with me and say that they will publish soon. We talk about their dreams and how to bring them to fruition. Then for some reason or another, the author stops and says I will resume at some other time. This happens to about 7 out of 10 authors that I speak with. Here are a few reasons for the setbacks :

Limited Time to complete a book-----Uncertain if the work is ready-----Fear of failure or success-----Dealing with personal, business/work, or family problems-----Unprepared to pay for publishing services

My advice to those authors and to the ones who are reading this blog now is, that if you want anything in this life, you will have to fight for it. When I say fight I mean keep your eyes focused on that goal even during the most challenging times of your life. Do a little something regularly to make the dream come true. That means setting aside time for your dream even if that time is only ten minutes per week. Ten minutes is more than doing nothing at all. After staying committed to small things, you will see a great Something has been created.

Remember the old parable about the hare and the tortoise: slow and steady wins the race. The answer to your question is quite simple. Destroy procrastination with dedication. Stay focused on publishing your book until it is resting in your hands.

You can do this.
